WEICON Chewing Gum Remover, cold shock effect, 400 ml

WEICON Chewing Gum Remover Cold Shock Effect 400 ml is an aerosol technical spray solution designed to quickly freeze chewing gum and sticky residues such as modeling clay so they can be mechanically separated from the surface. During application, the residue becomes brittle in a short time and can be removed in one piece with a scraper without spreading on the surface. This approach helps reduce the risk of staining and fiber/coating damage, especially on textiles and floor coverings. The product is developed under the WEICON brand by the Germany-based WEICON GmbH & Co. KG and supplied in Turkey through WEICON Kimya.

Working principle and product description of WEICON Chewing Gum Remover
This technical spray rapidly cools and hardens the residue with a “cold shock” effect to weaken the adhesion of chewing gum. Rather than dissolving the residue chemically, the formulation works with a controlled freeze-and-remove approach. For this reason, a scraping/peeling step is usually required after spraying, and the special scraper supplied with the can speeds up the process. The fact that the product is almost odorless and colorless is a practical detail that supports user comfort in indoor applications.

Performance and durability characteristics for the Cold Shock Gum Remover
As an aerosol product, it is supplied in a pressurized container and should be kept away from ignition sources for safe use; the contents fall into the category of flammable aerosols. For storage, it should be protected from direct sunlight and not exposed to temperatures above 50°C. According to technical information, the product is silicone-free, which can be an advantage in terms of avoiding unwanted film on some surfaces. A minimum shelf life of 24 months at room temperature is stated, which helps maintenance teams plan inventory.

Application method and points to consider in the field
During application, the can is held upright and, without shaking, sprayed from a short distance for a few seconds until visible icing forms. The loosened residue is then quickly removed with the included scraper; on textile surfaces, sweeping, brushing, or vacuuming after the process is recommended. Because excessive cooling on skin contact can pose a “cold burn/frostbite-like” risk, wearing gloves and avoiding direct contact are important. When applied correctly, this technical spray provides a process that facilitates cleaning without leaving residue on the surface.

Compatible surfaces and sector-based areas of use
The product is positioned for use on upholstered furniture, rigid foam surfaces such as bus seats, school chairs and desks, all types of textile floor coverings, as well as wood and stone floors. It is also preferred for removing chewing gum and modeling clay residues from resilient floor coverings such as PVC and linoleum. Public transportation operators, educational institutions, event venues, and facility management teams benefit from this technical spray approach in high-traffic areas where rapid intervention is required. It is also a functional supporting product for car interior upholstery and commercial space maintenance, where teams want to follow a “freeze-and-remove” method without spreading the sticky residue.
