WEICON Fast-Bond 310 ml is a one-component, moisture-curing industrial adhesive based on polyurethane (PUR), used for fast and strong bonding in assembly and construction applications. Its paste-like consistency allows controlled application on vertical surfaces and, once curing is complete, it forms a bond line that can be painted and sanded. With a formulation designed to withstand outdoor exposure, UV, and fresh/salt water contact, it offers broad usability both on-site and in the workshop. The product is manufactured by WEICON, and the manufacturer’s headquarters are stated to be in Germany.

Fast-Bond 310 ml assembly industrial adhesive: product definition and overall performance
This industrial adhesive is positioned for bonding a wide range of substrates, from building materials such as MDF and wooden panels, chipboard, fibreboards and gypsum boards to concrete, marble, natural/artificial stone, and ceramics. Its usability on metal surfaces and rigid foams helps simplify multi-material management in assembly work by enabling a single-product approach. Being silicone- and solvent-free can support odor/compatibility expectations in certain processes. Since the bond line is designed with resistance to weathering, UV, and water contact in mind, it provides flexibility for both indoor and outdoor installations. DIN EN 204 D4 suitability for water-resistant bonding is also stated in its documentation as an important criterion.

PUR-based structure, curing mechanism, and strength values
The product is a one-component polyurethane material that cures with moisture; therefore, during bonding, at least one of the surfaces is expected to allow diffusion. The paste consistency helps limit running during application and supports forming a neat bond line. Because the initial skin formation time is stated as approximately 3 minutes, joining the parts within this window is critical from a process standpoint. The stated curing progress of about 2–3 mm within the first 24 hours makes cure-time planning necessary for thicker applications. Tensile strength and lap shear strength values are given in the documentation as 10 N/mm² and 11 N/mm² respectively; these values become meaningful when supported by proper surface preparation and correct joint geometry.

Temperature resistance, gap-bridging, and classification information
With temperature resistance stated as -30 °C to +100 °C, it offers a sound selection rationale for assemblies operating in a moderate temperature range. A maximum gap-bridging capability of 10 mm indicates that surface irregularities can be tolerated up to a certain level; however, design considerations should be reviewed for very large gaps. The processing temperature range is +5 °C to +40 °C, and the stated relative humidity range for curing conditions is 30%–95%, reminding that field conditions can influence curing behavior. On the building material classification side, DIN 4102 B2 is stated, which can be a parameter checked in some site specifications. In addition, ISSA/IMPA codes for procurement/spec matching and a brief note of compliance with MIL-M-24041 are included.

Application method, surface preparation, and sector-specific use areas
Application is carried out via a cartridge gun using the 310 ml cartridge; pneumatic guns or automatic dosing systems can also be considered depending on the process setup. Keeping surfaces clean, dry, and free from oil is the basic requirement for repeatable quality with this industrial adhesive, and mechanical pre-treatment such as sanding can improve adhesion when necessary. After joining, parts are intended to be fixed under pressure, and since the product tends to foam easily, choosing the application quantity in a controlled manner helps reduce squeeze-out risk. It provides a practical solution for panel bonding, cladding, and board fixing in construction and installation works; for joining and reinforcement in metal constructions; and for installing rigid foams in insulation applications. Its paintable and sandable nature adds an extra advantage where a finished surface appearance is required after installation.
