Weicon Speed-Flex Crystal MS Polymer 310 ml is an MS polymer-based, elastic industrial adhesive and sealant developed to create crystal-clear bonds. Thanks to its paste-like consistency, it reduces the tendency to run even on vertical surfaces and enables controlled application. It is preferred for jobs aiming for an “invisible joint,” especially on surfaces where visual quality matters, such as transparent plastics, acrylic, and glass. The product is manufactured in Germany by WEICON GmbH & Co. KG.
Transparent and elastic bonds with Speed-Flex Crystal MS polymer industrial adhesive
This industrial adhesive aims to create a fast and neat bonding line as an alternative to traditional mechanical fasteners. With its very high initial tack approach, it supports temporary holding during part positioning and makes assembly easier. It is positioned as resistant to aging, weathering, and UV exposure, providing flexibility for both indoor and outdoor applications. Being free of silicone, isocyanates, and halogens is an advantage in terms of compatibility with different systems and process safety. Its ISEGA approval for use in food technology allows it to be considered under appropriate procedures in certain facility applications.
Technical structure and performance parameters
The product is a one-component, moisture-curing MS polymer system, and its base is stated as “polyoxypropylene.” Application and curing conditions are defined within a range of +5 °C to +40 °C, which helps planning in the field and workshop. A curing rate of 2–3 mm in the first 24 hours and a skin formation time of about 10 minutes require parts to be joined in a timely manner within the assembly flow. Maximum gap bridging of 5 mm and a joint width up to 25 mm provide a practical working range for both bonding and sealing scenarios. With 300% elongation at break and a Shore A hardness of 40±5, it supports an “elastic joint” character in connections exposed to vibration and thermal expansion. Temperature resistance is stated from -40 °C up to +120 °C for short periods, allowing it to be considered under variable operating conditions.
Application method and surface preparation
Before application, keeping surfaces clean and free of oil is considered critical for achieving the intended bonding and sealing performance with this industrial adhesive. Where necessary, mechanical surface preparation such as sanding can increase adhesion; for some difficult surfaces, the use of a primer is recommended. It can be applied from 310 ml cartridges using a professional cartridge gun, pressure gun, or automatic dosing systems, and the paste-like structure helps create a more controlled joint line. Joining the parts before skin formation is important for optimal wetting and bond quality. After application, keeping the joint stationary until curing is complete helps achieve a neat line and stable results.
Industry applications and compatible systems
This industrial adhesive is positioned for use in drywall and interior works, metal construction, tank and fixture manufacturing, ventilation/HVAC systems, as well as exhibition stand and retail store applications. It offers an advantage in visually demanding installations on materials such as transparent plastics, acrylic, and glass where the adhesive line should not be visible. It also provides an approach to solve both bonding and joint sealing with a single product in connections requiring elastic sealing. The emphasis on UV and weather resistance expands usage scenarios for outdoor installations. The 310 ml cartridge packaging helps standardize dosing on site and contributes to repeatable quality.
