AN 301-38 is classified as a methacrylate resin-based, single-component, anaerobically curing industrial adhesive. It is specifically designed for retaining cylindrical assembly elements such as bearings, shafts, and bushings. The product is green in color and has a medium-viscosity character; this structure provides both controlled flow and balanced gap-filling performance between surfaces. Technical data indicate a viscosity of 2,000–3,000 mPa·s at 25 °C, a maximum gap-filling capacity of 0.20 mm, and suitability for use on assemblies up to M36.

AN 301-38 performance features and durability structure
This anaerobic retaining compound is developed to create high-strength, difficult-to-remove connections. Technical data specify a breakaway torque of 30–40 Nm, a prevailing torque of 45–60 Nm, and a shear strength of 20–25 N/mm² according to DIN 54452. It is stated to achieve initial handling strength in approximately 5 minutes at room temperature and reach final strength within 2–4 hours. Its temperature resistance is defined as -60 °C to +150 °C; for this reason, the product offers a functional industrial adhesive solution in industrial assemblies exposed to mechanical stress and temperature variations.

The product is applied evenly to the surface directly from the bottle or dosing tip and cures in areas where it is in contact with metal and isolated from air. Although the best results are achieved on cleaned and degreased surfaces, the manufacturer states that application is also possible on lightly oily surfaces. In press-fit or larger cylindrical assemblies, it is recommended to apply a thin and even layer to both surfaces; in slip fits, rotating the parts against each other during assembly improves distribution.
