WEICON Starting Fluid (Engine Start Spray) 400 ml

WEICON Starting Fluid (Engine Start Spray) 400 ml is an aerosol technical spray starting aid developed to make the first start of internal combustion engines easier. It is designed to make initial ignition faster and more stable, especially in low temperatures, humid air, and engines that have not been run for a long time. The formula provides quick ignition support to help the engine strain less and reduce battery load. The product is developed by WEICON GmbH & Co. KG, based in Germany.

Safe cold-start concept with WEICON Starting Fluid
This technical spray helps the engine start more easily by providing a quickly ignitable mixture support to the combustion chamber via the air intake line. When an engine struggles to start, longer cranking time can wear the battery and starter system; a starting aid is intended to reduce this risk. It also offers a usage framework aimed at improving start reliability in some applications where carburetor icing can occur at low temperatures. It belongs to the class of starting-aid products stated to be usable for gasoline and diesel engines, including systems with catalytic converters.

Technical spray application method and field safety
Before use, the can is shaken well and a short spray is applied into the engine air intake or onto the air filter. After a brief wait, the engine is started without excessive throttle; if it does not start, the process can be repeated in a controlled manner. Avoiding excessive or prolonged spraying helps reduce the risk of flooding the engine with an overly rich mixture. As a general safety discipline for aerosol products, it is important to ensure good ventilation, avoid skin and eye contact, and keep away from flame/heat sources.

Performance focus and usage limits
Starting-aid sprays focus on speeding up initial ignition, especially in cold and humid environments, helping the engine settle into idle more quickly. This product class is positioned to help reduce the load on the battery and starter motor during cranking. Because it is supplied in a pressurized aerosol can, it should be protected from direct sunlight and not exposed to high temperatures. Since it is categorized as a flammable aerosol, controlled use in enclosed areas and working away from spark sources are essential.

Industry use cases and compatible engine types
This technical spray is used to support first-start assistance not only for cars and light commercial vehicles but also for field equipment such as construction and agricultural machinery. On two-wheelers like motorcycles and scooters, it can be a practical solution for hard-start issues during seasonal transitions. It also fits service teams’ quick checks and commissioning processes for boat engines, generators, and auxiliary power units that have been idle for long periods. In workshop and maintenance operations, its portable aerosol form provides an advantage for teams who want to speed up “start and observe” steps during fault diagnosis.
