WEICON Precision Wire Stripper S is a semi-automatic wire stripping tool developed for fine conductors and small-diameter cables. The product is designed to provide fast, safe, and controlled operation in applications requiring precise stripping. Its integrated scanning system detects the cable diameter and helps reduce the risk of damaging the inner conductor. This design delivers more consistent results, especially in electrical, electronics, and fine assembly applications involving small-diameter cables.
Weicon Precision Wire Stripper S product description and technical structure
WEICON Precision Wire Stripper S is developed for stripping fine conductors, wires, and small-diameter cables in the diameter range of 0.12 mm to 0.8 mm. The product is suitable for use with fine conductors featuring various insulation types such as PVC, PTFE/Teflon, and Kynar. Its body is made of glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide, offering a compact form for lightweight and controlled handling. This structure combines an internal blade system with a semi-automatic operating principle, providing practical and balanced use in precision conductor preparation tasks.
Precision Wire Stripper S performance features and application advantages
The standout feature of this model is its ability to perform precise stripping on very fine conductors thanks to its continuously adjustable working range. The adjustable length stop allows the stripping length to be set quickly and reliably between 5 and 45 mm. Two symmetrically acting precision-adjusted torsion springs transfer a defined pressure to the blade pair, supporting proper cutting of the insulation with controlled force. In this way, the product offers both repeatable process quality and a more controlled working experience for the user when handling small-diameter cables.
Ergonomics, application method, and operational safety
The Precision Wire Stripper S is suitable for both right- and left-handed use, providing comfortable handling for different user profiles. During operation, the stripping length is set, the conductor is positioned correctly, and the insulation is cut and removed with a controlled squeezing motion. The combination of the automatic scanning system and spring mechanism helps strip delicate cables without damaging the inner conductor. It is clearly stated that the product must not be used on live cables or conductors; therefore, de-energized working conditions must always be ensured before use.
Application areas, compatible systems, and manufacturer information
WEICON Precision Wire Stripper S can be used in electrical and electronic assembly, control and signal wiring, laboratory-type precision connections, service and maintenance tasks, and production processes requiring fine conductor preparation. It is particularly efficient for control panel connections, electronic component wiring, and precise cable-end preparation involving small-diameter wires and conductors. In terms of compatibility, it is designed for fine stranded conductors, wires, and small-diameter cables with various insulation types. The manufacturer is WEICON GmbH & Co. KG; the product is supplied by Germany-based WEICON and has a safety approval tested by TÜV NORD.
