WEICON Cable Stripper No. 4-28 G

WEICON Cable Stripper No. 4-28 G is a professional cable stripping hand tool developed for the safe and controlled removal of the outer sheath of common round cables. The product is designed to provide precise and repeatable performance on cables with an outer diameter range of 4 to 28 mm. The self-rotating internal blade integrated into the body helps enable automatic switching from circular cutting to longitudinal cutting. This allows for a more organized, faster, and safer workflow in electrical installation, field wiring, and maintenance applications.

Weicon No. 4-28 G product description and technical structure
WEICON No. 4-28 G is developed for stripping the outer sheath of common round cables and is used within a working range of 4 to 28 mm. The tool combines a glass-fibre-reinforced plastic body with a non-slip, ergonomic multi-component handle structure, offering advantages in both durability and controlled grip. Thanks to the adjustment screw located at the rear of the handle, the cutting depth can be set continuously, which helps reduce the risk of damaging the inner conductor. The integrated internal blade system is self-rotating; in addition, the straight blade and protective cap design provide an important advantage in terms of controlled use.

No. 4-28 G performance features and application advantages
One of the main strengths of this model is its ability to provide fast, precise, and safe stripping on different types of round cables. The self-rotating internal blade mechanism adapts to the cutting direction during use, making the working process easier. Its ergonomic handle shape and non-slip surface support user comfort, especially in repetitive applications. When the adjustable cutting depth is considered together with the straight blade design with protective cap, the product becomes a functional solution for both service teams and professionals who regularly carry out cable preparation work.

Ergonomics, application method, and operational safety
During application, the appropriate cutting depth is first set, then the cable is placed into the tool and the outer sheath is removed with a controlled motion. Positioning the integrated internal blade system inside the body provides a safer approach compared to open-blade solutions. Supplying the straight blade with a protective cap also supports safety during transport and use. The manufacturer clearly states that the product must not be used on live cables and conductors; therefore, de-energized working conditions must always be ensured before application.
