Weicon F Aluminum-Filled Epoxy Resin is a two-component epoxy resin system developed for repair, gap filling, and part reconstruction. Thanks to its paste-like consistency, aluminum-filled formulation, and non-corrosive character, it provides controlled application especially on light metal parts. This product is an aluminum-filled epoxy-based resin system that reaches an aluminum metallic color after curing. The technical data sheet states a mixing ratio of 100:20 by weight, a mixed density of 1.9 g/cm³, and a consumption of approximately 1.9 kg/m² at 1 mm layer thickness. The processing temperature ranges from +15 °C to +40 °C; at 20 °C, the pot life for a 500 g mixture is approximately 60 minutes. The fact that final strength is achieved in 36 hours makes the product predictable for planned maintenance and workshop-type repair processes.

Strength capacity of the aluminum-filled epoxy resin
In the cured state, the product is specified to have a compressive strength of 66 MPa, tensile strength of 31 MPa, flexural strength of 53 MPa, and a Shore D hardness of 85 ± 3. Its temperature resistance ranges from -35 °C to +120 °C, and its thermal conductivity is 0.8 W/m·K. Its low shrinkage value and the maximum applicable layer thickness of up to 30 mm in a single application provide advantages in surface restoration and local reconstruction work. These data show that the product can be used not only for filling purposes but also in industrial bonding and repair applications where controlled mechanical performance is expected.

Application method and surface preparation
For successful results, the surface must be completely free of oil, dirt, rust, oxide, paint, and moisture. The official technical documentation recommends mechanical pre-treatment such as grinding or, preferably, sandblasting on smooth or heavily contaminated surfaces; a suitable surface roughness of 75–100 µm is recommended. After the two components are mixed homogeneously, the material is applied with a spatula and spread into cracks, gaps, or damaged areas without leaving air bubbles. The technical data sheet also states that auxiliary mechanical supports such as fiberglass or metal reinforcement can be used when filling large cavities.
