WEICON Cable Stripper No. 28-35 is a professional cable stripping hand tool developed for the safe and controlled removal of the outer sheath of large-diameter round cables. The product is designed to provide precise and repeatable performance on common round cables with an outer diameter range of 28 to 35 mm. The self-rotating internal blade integrated into the body helps enable automatic switching from circular cutting to longitudinal cutting. This design provides a more organized, faster, and safer workflow in energy, field assembly, and maintenance applications.

Weicon No. 28-35 product description and technical structure
WEICON No. 28-35 is developed for stripping the outer sheath of common PVC-insulated round cables. The tool combines a glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide body with a non-slip, ergonomic multi-component handle structure, offering advantages in both durability and controlled grip. Thanks to the adjustment screw on the rear section, the cutting depth can be set continuously, helping reduce the risk of damaging the inner conductor. The internal blade system is adjustable and replaceable, and the blade can be changed quickly thanks to the bayonet connection.

No. 28-35 performance features and application advantages
One of the main strengths of this model is its ability to provide precise, fast, and safe stripping on large-diameter round cables. The self-rotating internal blade mechanism automatically switches between circular and longitudinal cutting during use, making the working process easier. Its large handle diameter and ergonomic form support user comfort, especially in repetitive applications. When the replaceable blade design is considered together with the controlled cutting adjustment, the product becomes a functional solution for professionals who regularly perform cable preparation work.

Ergonomics, application method, and operational safety
During application, the appropriate cutting depth is first adjusted, then the cable is placed into the tool and the outer sheath is removed with a controlled motion. Positioning the integrated internal blade system inside the body provides a safer approach compared to open-blade solutions. The multi-component handle structure also offers a more balanced grip in field and installation applications. The manufacturer clearly states that the product must not be used on live cables and conductors; therefore, de-energized working conditions must always be ensured before use.
