Adhetron EP 3330 is a two-component, epoxy-based industrial adhesive formulated in an unfilled structure. In official technical documents, the product is described as a system available in different viscosity options that can be cured at room temperature or with heat. Thanks to the polar structure of the resin, it is stated to provide good flow and adhesion on a variety of surfaces, including metal and plastic. Its low shrinkage, resistance to moisture and various chemicals, and potting-focused usability make this industrial adhesive stand out in technical assembly processes.

EP 3330 Technical Structure and Key Properties

This industrial adhesive is epoxy-based and is applied at a 1:1 mixing ratio. According to official TDS data, the mixed viscosity is 1,000,000 mPas, the color is beige, the density is approximately 1.05 g/cm3, and the pot life is 4 hours at 25 °C. Thanks to its high-viscosity structure, it is positioned in a product class with a low tendency to run or drip. Adhetron is a brand of Pulsar Chem. Industry and Trade Co. INC.; the brand is presented with its R&D center in Connecticut, USA, and its distribution center in Türkiye. This technical framework makes the product an industrial adhesive suitable for both potting and controlled assembly applications.

Cure Profile and Strength Values

EP 3330 can be cured in 16 hours at 25 °C, 2 hours 30 minutes at 75 °C, 1 hour 30 minutes at 100 °C, 20 minutes at 150 °C, and 5 minutes at 200 °C. For maximum chemical and thermal resistance, the manufacturer recommends a 2-hour post-cure at 100 °C. In its cured state, the temperature resistance ranges from -65 °C to +150 °C, Shore D hardness is 75-85, water absorption is below 0.59%, and the glass transition temperature is +65 °C. Lap shear strength is reported as 15 MPa on aluminum, 10 MPa on copper, and 19.3 MPa on steel. In addition, the official product description states that the product complies with the MIL-A-14042 military specification.

Application Method and Surface Compatibility

Before application, surfaces must be cleaned of dust, oil, and other contaminants. It is recommended that components A and B be homogenized separately, then mixed in the correct ratio for at least two minutes, and applied within the pot life of the mixture. The manufacturer states that this industrial adhesive provides good flow and adhesion on metal and plastic surfaces and is also suitable for plugger and switch potting applications. Although the product can cure at room temperature, it is noted that higher temperatures shorten the curing time. Its 12-month shelf life at room temperature in unopened original packaging also provides an advantage in terms of maintenance and inventory management.

EP 3330 Applications and Key Advantages

The application areas of EP 3330 are especially electrical-electronic assembly, plug and switch potting processes, filling applications around fastening elements, and metal-plastic joining points. For this reason, it can be considered for connector components, switch housings, small assembly sub-parts, and technical systems requiring protective filling. The product’s key advantages are its high-viscosity structure, low shrinkage, moisture resistance, solvent and acid resistance, and multi-surface compatibility. On the electrical performance side, the specified volume resistivity and dielectric strength values make the product suitable not only for bonding but also for insulation and protective potting applications. As a result, EP 3330 is a balanced industrial adhesive solution for processes that require controlled flow, durable bonding, and potting performance together.
