Anaerobic products cure in an oxygen-free environment between metal surfaces, filling thread gaps and stabilizing the joint. Its higher-viscosity structure supports controlled retention on the thread during application and enhances gap-filling performance. Being associated with drinking-water use and DVGW approval is an important factor that can broaden its application scope in suitably designed systems.

This industrial adhesive is suitable for use in threaded connections up to M36 and offers a maximum gap-bridging capability of approximately 0.25 mm. The viscosity range is given as 2,000–8,000 mPa·s, which supports controlled application, especially on larger threads and during assembly. Reflecting its medium-strength class, the breakaway torque is specified as 18–22 Nm, and the prevailing torque is 9–11 Nm. One mechanical performance indicator, shear strength, is given in the range of 10–13 N/mm², contributing to joint stability under service conditions.

Cure speed and temperature resistance

At room temperature, handling strength typically develops within 5–15 minutes, and full strength is reached within 1–3 hours. This curing profile helps keep waiting times manageable in maintenance/repair and series assembly operations. Temperature resistance is specified as -60 °C to +150 °C, providing flexibility for mechanical equipment and different climatic conditions. With the package closed, the minimum shelf life at room temperature is stated as 24 months, supporting predictable stock management.

Application method, surface preparation, and process tips

For best results, surfaces should be clean and free of oil; the cleaner the surface, the more stable the performance. The product is applied directly and evenly from the bottle using the dosing nozzle; the nozzle should not be allowed to touch metal, as metal particles can cause premature curing inside the packaging. For sealing applications, it is spread onto the thread with a circular motion, then the parts are assembled and tightened to complete the process. In serial production, dosing equipment is recommended to maintain control and consistency, and the product should not be poured back into the bottle after application.
