Weicon HB 300 High-Temperature Resistant Epoxy Resin is a two-component epoxy system with a paste-like consistency and steel filler. It is suitable for use as an industrial adhesive in maintenance and repair jobs where heat is involved, to repair metal parts and fill surface defects. Its low sagging tendency on vertical surfaces makes on-site, in-place intervention easier. After curing, it forms a dark grey surface that contributes to a more uniform appearance of the repair line.

HB 300 is an epoxy system that combines the repair of cast and metal parts with bonding and sealing needs in a single product. Its steel-filled structure helps manage the “filling + bonding” function more controllably, especially on metal equipment, and in this respect it is positioned as an industrial adhesive. The high-temperature resistance approach broadens its application range on equipment such as pumps and pipes where temperature fluctuations may occur. The paste form helps the product stay in the joint line without spreading, making workmanship quality more predictable.

Technical structure, strength, and operating limits
The epoxy-resin-based, steel-filled system is prepared with a 1:1 mixing ratio, which simplifies measurement discipline in field applications. Continuous temperature resistance is defined up to +200 °C, and short-term exposure up to +280 °C, making industrial adhesive selection safer in areas close to high heat. Its approach allowing a layer thickness of up to 20 mm in a single application can reduce the need for staged applications when filling voids and shaping. Since post-cure compressive strength is given as 100 MPa and Shore D hardness as 85, the aim is for the repair line to become durable and suitable for mechanical loads.

Surface preparation, mixing, and application steps
For a successful result, the surface must be completely free of oil, dirt, loose oxides, and weak layers; this step directly affects adhesion. After mixing resin and hardener homogeneously at a 1:1 ratio, the amount prepared should be planned according to application speed, since a working time of about 30 minutes is defined at 20 °C for a 200 g mix. Its applicability on vertical surfaces helps form a more controlled repair line, especially where sagging is a concern. Since it is aimed to withstand mechanical loads in about 12 hours and reach final hardness in about 24 hours, the commissioning plan can be built around this time window.

In machine and plant engineering and in device/equipment manufacturing, typical use scenarios include filling voids in cast housings and repairing localized damage on metal parts. It can be considered as an industrial adhesive for restoring surface loss on containers, vehicle bodies, and machine parts, and for supporting sealing lines in pumps and pipelines. The steel filler and paste consistency make it easier to carry out both filling and bonding steps in the same application and contribute to rapid on-site intervention.
