WEICON Easy-Mix HT 180 High-Temperature Resistant Epoxy Adhesive 50 ml is a two-component, epoxy resin-based industrial adhesive developed for applications exposed to high heat. Thanks to its high-viscosity and stable structure, it also provides controlled use in vertical applications. Its strong bonding performance on composite materials and metal surfaces makes it stand out in technical assembly and maintenance processes. In addition, its suitability for use on different surfaces such as plastic, ceramic, glass, stone, and wood makes this industrial adhesive highly versatile.
Technical structure and performance features of Easy-Mix HT 180
This product is a two-component system based on epoxy resin with a 2:1 mixing ratio by volume. According to the technical data sheet, the mixed viscosity is approximately 60,000 mPa·s, the mixed density is approximately 1.58 g/cm³, and the linear shrinkage rate is 0.3%. After curing, it reaches a tensile strength of 38 MPa, a compressive strength of 84 MPa, a flexural strength of 52 MPa, and a Shore D hardness of 80. Its temperature resistance is stated as continuous from -50 °C to +180 °C and short-term up to +230 °C; for this reason, it offers a reliable industrial adhesive solution for systems exposed to high heat.
Application method and process conditions of HT 180
Easy-Mix HT 180 is applied with a dual cartridge and static mixer; surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from oil. According to the technical documentation, the product is highly viscous and stable; this property limits sagging in vertical applications and provides a more controlled bond line. For 10 ml of mixed material at 20 °C, the pot life is approximately 120 minutes, initial strength is reached in about 12 hours, handling strength in approximately 24 hours, and full final strength in approximately 48 hours. Its room-temperature curing and ability to be mechanically processed after curing make this industrial adhesive practical for maintenance, assembly, and production processes.
Surface compatibility and sectoral areas of use
This industrial adhesive has been developed especially for bonding composite materials and metal parts. In addition, it can also be used on plastic, ceramic, glass, stone, and wood surfaces, and it is stated to be suitable for joints where larger tolerances need to be compensated. Its main areas of use include the automotive supply industry, machinery manufacturing, metalworking, maintenance and repair, composite part assembly, and equipment joints exposed to high temperatures. Its suitability for bonding components that will undergo powder coating after full curing also increases its industrial application value.
Key advantages and technical reference information
The product’s main advantages include high temperature resistance, resistance to impact and shock, long working time, a stable structure suitable for vertical application, and the ability to provide a workable surface after curing. Thanks to its special filler structure, it is stated that a strong and reliable bond can be achieved with a bond line thickness of at least 0.20–0.25 mm. The technical data sheet also includes ISSA Code 75.530.04 and IMPA Code 812923. Since the safety documentation includes warnings for skin irritation, allergic skin reaction, serious eye irritation, and environmental hazards, gloves and appropriate eye protection should be used during application.
