Weicon Aluminium-Filled Minute Adhesive 24 ml is a two-component industrial adhesive developed for the rapid bonding of aluminium and other light metals. Thanks to its aluminium-filled epoxy-based structure, it is suitable not only for bonding but also for maintenance applications involving crack and gap filling. Its fast curing at room temperature, low shrinkage behavior, and ability to be mechanically processed after curing are among its key technical features. Developed by WEICON GmbH & Co. KG in Germany, this product is also available through its operations in Turkey.

Structure and intended use of Weicon Aluminium Minute Adhesive
This product is defined as an aluminium-filled, low-odor, epoxy-based two-component industrial adhesive with a 1:1 mixing ratio by volume. Its viscous, paste-like consistency allows application without sagging, which provides an advantage on vertical surfaces or in situations requiring controlled dosing. Its ability to bridge gaps up to 4 mm makes it useful not only for flat-surface bonding but also for compensating minor surface irregularities. It is particularly suitable for both assembly and repair applications on aluminium housings, light metal parts, and similar components.

Performance characteristics and resistance profile
Technical data indicate that this industrial adhesive offers a working time of approximately 4–5 minutes at 20 °C, initial handling strength after 30 minutes, functional strength after 1 hour, and final strength after 24 hours. A post-cure tensile strength of 34 N/mm², compressive strength of 40 MPa, and flexural strength of 58 MPa show that the product provides a balanced mechanical profile for structural maintenance and repair scenarios. Its temperature resistance is specified between -50 °C and +180 °C, while a Shore D hardness of 76 ± 3 and dielectric strength of 16 kV/mm further support its technical performance. The availability of measured adhesion values on different surfaces such as aluminium, steel, galvanized steel, and rigid PVC demonstrates that the product can be adapted not only to one metal group but also to different systems.

Application method and surface compatibility
Before application, surfaces must be dry, clean, and free from grease; the manufacturer also states that scraping or sanding the surface when necessary improves adhesion. When applying from a dual cartridge, it is recommended not to use the first discharged material and then to apply the mixed product homogeneously onto the surface. Once the adhesive has been applied, the parts to be joined should be brought into contact without delay, so preparing the application sequence in advance is important. This type of industrial adhesive can be used for maintenance, assembly, and localized repair purposes on aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel, rigid PVC, and other light metal systems.

Sectoral areas of use and key advantages
The product offers a functional solution for machine manufacturing, maintenance and repair workshops, metal processing, automotive supply industry, HVAC equipment, and industrial housing repairs. It is particularly suitable for filling cracks in aluminium housings, localized repair operations on light alloy parts, and repair applications on wheel-like light metal components. Its non-sag thixotropic structure, fast curing, gap-filling capability, and suitability for post-cure operations such as filing, drilling, or milling provide important advantages in field use. In the official technical document, the mechanical properties are presented with reference to DIN EN ISO 527-2, DIN EN ISO 604, DIN EN ISO 178, DIN ISO 7619, and DIN EN 1465 test standards, indicating that the technical data are expressed according to standardized methods.
