Weicon Contact Adhesive Spray 500 ml is an industrial adhesive spray that provides fast, uniform coverage on large surfaces and works on the contact-adhesion principle. It is designed to bond light materials to each other or to suitable substrates in a practical way and helps reduce labor time, especially in serial applications. Its synthetic rubber-based composition forms a tacky film on the surface, allowing parts to be joined under pressure. The manufacturer is stated as WEICON GmbH & Co. KG (Germany).

Fast surface bonding with Weicon Contact Spray 500 ml
This industrial adhesive is suitable for quickly bonding large areas on materials such as paper, cardboard, corrugated board, wood, and thin veneers. It is also intended for use on cork, leather, textiles, felt, soft foam, rubber, and sponge rubber. In plastic film applications, PVC and polyethylene are excluded; therefore, material compatibility should be verified before starting production. It is emphasized as being particularly suitable for bonding rigid foam materials.

Chemical structure, performance, and durability approach
The product is synthetic rubber-based and contains no silicone, which may support process compatibility where silicone is not desired. Since the operating temperature range is given as -20 °C to +65 °C, it is expected to be planned mainly for indoor and moderate process conditions. The recommended application temperature for processing is +10 °C to +30 °C, which helps manage film formation more consistently. The evaporation/drying time is described as typically 5–15 minutes, and joining at the correct time directly affects bonding performance.

Efficient use, spray direction, and coverage
Because the spray nozzle can be adjusted to a horizontal or vertical spray jet, more controlled application is possible on long panels or in narrow areas. Applying from a distance of about 15–30 cm is important to create an even film layer on the surface. A coverage value of approximately 13 m² for 1.5 cross coats is given, which can be used as a reference for planning and consumption calculations. Due to its pressurized aerosol form, it should be protected from direct sunlight during storage and not exposed to temperatures above +50 °C.

Application method and surface preparation
Before application, surfaces should be dry, clean, and free of oil; otherwise, the film layer may become uneven. The can is shaken before use and sprayed in a controlled manner onto the surface(s) to be bonded. Since application to both surfaces is recommended for porous materials, the absorbency of the material determines the application decision. After spraying, it is recommended to wait until the adhesive reaches a “non-stringing” tack; then the parts are positioned and joined under strong pressure.

Sector-based applications and key advantages
This industrial adhesive spray can be preferred in advertising and printing for paper/cardboard-based applications, panel covering, and jobs that require fast assembly. In furniture and upholstery processes, it offers practicality for bonding materials such as felt, textiles, and foam; uniform application on large surfaces helps reduce the risk of waviness and localized bubbling. In insulation and maintenance work, it can speed up workflows where rigid foam-based materials need to be fixed in place. It also provides an efficient method for bonding thin veneers in woodworking and surfacing, and for serial joining of various lightweight materials in workshop and prototyping processes.
