Adhetron Acry-Tron 007 is an acrylic-based, toughened industrial adhesive solution with 100% solids content. It is designed to form a structural bond in metal-focused assemblies and aims to provide a flexible bond line that can help tolerate differences in thermal expansion between dissimilar materials. It operates as a two-component system with a 1:1 mix ratio and can be applied using a mixing tip or the bead-on-bead method. It supports a controlled assembly approach, especially in production and maintenance processes that require fast fixturing.
Structural Industrial Adhesive Characteristics of Acry-Tron 007
Because this industrial adhesive is positioned in the structural acrylic class, it is considered a high-performance alternative for metal joints. The toughened acrylic structure is intended to provide a more balanced performance in joints exposed to impact and vibration effects. The product color is specified as amber, and its mixed viscosity is stated to be approximately 5000 cps, which can make dispensing more predictable in applications requiring flow control. Thanks to its solvent-free, 100% solids formulation, post-cure volume change is kept low, and shrinkage is given as <1%.
Curing Process and Mechanical Performance
The working time after mixing is stated as 1 minute, so planning the application steps in advance is important for process consistency. Fixturing time is defined as 5–7 minutes, functional strength as 1 hour, and full cure as 4–6 hours; these values support production planning regarding when parts can be handled and when they can be more confidently exposed to service loads. Since temperature resistance is given as -40°C to +150°C, boundary conditions for heat-exposed assemblies should be evaluated within this range. The steel-to-steel lap shear value is stated as 27.5 MPa, and separate lap shear values are also defined for metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and brass, providing reference expectations for metal-to-metal bonding strength.
Application Method and Process Tips
Cleaning surfaces from oil, dirt, oxides, and loose coating residues before application helps make industrial adhesive performance more repeatable. With a cartridge system, it is possible to achieve a homogeneous mix using a mixing tip or to apply using bead-on-bead with suitable equipment; the method should be selected based on part geometry and assembly speed. After joining the parts, maintaining position throughout the fixturing period helps ensure proper bond-line formation. A storage range of 12°C–23°C is recommended, and the shelf life of the A/B components is stated as up to 9 months, so stock rotation should be planned accordingly.
Surface Compatibility and Sector Applications
This structural industrial adhesive is positioned for use on metal surfaces such as steel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, brass, and plated metals, as well as on materials like ABS, rigid PVC, acrylic, and glass. It is also listed as suitable for substrates such as polyester, wood, stone, concrete, and composite structures like epoxy/FRP/GRP, offering flexibility for multi-material assembly designs. Automotive and transportation equipment, machine manufacturing, metal construction, maintenance/repair workshops, and composite part assembly are among the highlighted application areas. In joints where different substrates with high thermal expansion differences are combined, the goal of a flexible bond line can be a key selection factor. Since application conditions and performance requirements can vary, process validation through sample trials is recommended before series production.
